Hi everybody

In this Newsletter

  1. Cathedral Peak Launch weekend
  2. Get spotted – Great Trek free entry
  3. Entry opening dates 1st June, prices
  4. Old Mutual joBerg2c

  1. We have again secured Brandon Stewart for the launch weekend on 2nd and 3rd June at Cathedral Peak Hotel.  This time he will entertain us with his adventures at the Epic and joBerg2c and hopefully will give us insider tips on his training, coping with pitfalls and how to win a top 10!

To avoid any confusion each guest at the launch weekend will be guaranteed a TEAM ENTRY each into any of the FedGroup Berg and Bush events. So if you come with a friend they too can get into to the race of their choice. These entries are guaranteed but not free!  There will be a lucky draw after the talk by Brandon and ONE of these entries will be drawn to become a free entry!  The hotel’s phone number is 036-4881888. Please quote The Berg and Bush cycling weekend when doing your booking.

    Itinerary

  • Sunday 3rd June:

2. We will have scouts out at the Sani2c and joBerg2c.  One lucky rider spotted wearing their Berg and Bush cycling shirt at these events could win a free entry to the FedGroup Great Trek! So get spotted!

3. Entries open on 1st June to previous riders from 2011 at 10h00.  The field on the Descent is being reduced this year so hope many of you will enter the Great Trek to cater for this reduction. We look forward to seeing you again later in the year at our new registration venue for the Descent and are excited by the enthusiastic response to the Great Trek.

We have delayed entries opening early as we know that times are tough. Riders who have not done any of our events before can put their names on the waiting list by e-mailing info@bergandbush.co.za and requesting to be put on the waiting list for your race of choice.  Waiting list entries will receive preference over new riders.

4. The Old Mutual joBerg2c starts on Friday 27th April and ends on Saturday 5th May.  Daily highlights will be shown every evening at 21h00 on Supersport.  We hope that you enjoy it.

Kind regards

The FedGroup Berg and Bush team
