The Natro Berg and Bush 'Descent'

Route: Starts in the eastern free State near Sterkfontein Dam 100km from Winterton and finishes at Emseni Camp outside Winterton. Riders are required to book their own accommodation for the Wednesday night and are encouraged to stay as close to the start as possible. Please refer to the accommodation page for details on accommodation facilities. Drakensville resort will host registration and has superb, cheap accommodation facilities.

Day 2: 65km
Day 3: 50km
Cost: R6270 per team (R5500 per team + VAT) and will include camping (Thursday and Friday night), 7 meals (no limit on the amount you want to eat), a superb race garment/gift, free access to all the great event concepts and of course, the best mountain biking experience in South Africa.

History: Today, the traditional 2 day event was voted SA’s 2nd best stage race for 2 years running in 2007 and 2008, and has a sold out field of 400 riders (200 teams). With the inclusion and addition of the new Natro Berg and Bush ‘Descent’, the 3 day version of the event, there will be some additional entries open up for the traditional 2 day event. Make sure you use the entry options on this site to grab your entry ASAP. Entries open on Monday the 15th June at 9am and will be offered to those riders who took part in the event in 2008 for a period of 2 weeks. |
